This apple juice is a cuvée made from different apple varieties, blended in the same proportion as they grow on the farm. Each year there is a slightly different tuning, influenced by the heat or cold of the respective year, harvesting time and fruit ripeness. The taste is creamy, full-bodied, round and fleshy-fruity.
Fresh fruit processing
Widum Baumann mountain apple juice is crafted from freshly harvested fruit, with pressing typically occurring in November. This ensures an exceptional quality juice, that clearly stands out for its freshness and flavour compared to preserved fruit products. After pressing, the juice retains part of its pulp, which is why it is naturally cloudy and contains a higher proportion of antioxidants than filtered juices. Just apples, nothing else
After pressing, the juice is bottled directly, without any additives. We only use the finest apples of the five varieties Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Jonagold, Topaz and Pinova. Topaz and Pinova, being hardy apple varieties, allow for organic cultivation without the need for treatment. Preservation is ensured by the high acid and sugar content, combined with a gentle heating process that brings the juice to a temperature of 78 degrees. Subsequent ageing in the bottle allows it to preserve naturally, exactly as it used to be.
